Imran Khan is facing the most serious threat to his leadership since his election in 2018.

With Pakistan's current political turbulence, where no Prime Minister has served a complete term, PM Imran Khan is facing the most serious threat to his leadership since his election in 2018, with opponents accusing him of economic incompetence and foreign-policy blunders.

Interestingly, no prime minister in the country’s history has ever completed a full five-year term. Only three prime ministers have made it to the four-year mark and only two elected assemblies have completed their terms.

Besides, the country has also seen major military takeovers since 1958. The military holds a significant place in the history of Pakistan, as the Pakistani Armed Forces have played, and continue to play, a significant role in the Pakistani establishment and shaping of the country.

In this episode, our host Dev Goswami sits with “Def-savvy” India Today TV editor, defence and strategic affairs Abhishek Bhalla---who has been on the forefront of wars---delving deep inside the murky world of Pakistani politics, tracking and analysing the country’s military-civilian government struggle.
